Arizona State Capitol

My stop in Phoenix, AZ…

The Arizona State Capitol stood in all its glory as we walked its grounds. It’s was close to 6pm and no one else was around except for one man on his bike and one couple from California.

It felt like sacred grounds and the man from California suggested that I watch the movie, Windtalkers, to appreciate the sculptures that had been erected here in honor of the Navajo code talkers recruited by the US Marine Corps during WW II to transmit secret tactical messages.
